Created as a symbol of the friendship and close ties between the United States and Canada, the International Peace Garden sits on 2,339 acres of land spread on both sides of the international border. The park's formal garden areas are divided into various themed sections, displaying cultivated flowers along with sculptural and architectural details like the Bell Tower, Cascade Panel and Peace Poles. There is also abundant untouched land within the park, offering the chance for walks through the wilderness along with visitor amenities including a campground and picnic areas. Located on the U.S.-Canada border, the garden is about 13 miles north of Dunseith.
